Well this is refreshing: Vogue’s latest lingerie editorial features an array of plus-size women modeling beautiful bras.
The shoot comes following the news that Calvin Klein contracted size 10 model Myla Dalbesio as its new spokesperson.
Shot by Cass Bird, the editorial features well-known plus-size models Ashley Graham, Inga Eiriksdottir, and Marquita Pring.
And lingerie from both high and low brands like Lane Bryant and L’Agent by Agent Provocateur.
The shoot comes at a time of controversy in the fashion world, when there are shifting definitions of what it means to be plus-size, and when there is increasing scrutiny over too-skinny models and over-Photoshopped images.
The site copy makes zero reference to the women’s size, and instead focuses on the beauty of the bras.
Because, stresses Vogue, “when it comes to gorgeous undergarments, there is no such thing as cutting corners—and if the cup fits, why not make sure it’s pretty?
